Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. It applies to birminghamloftconversions.co.uk.
Who we are
The data controller is Birmingham Loft Conversions. You can contact us about your information at hello@birminghamloftconversions.co.uk or on 0121 751 9618.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the property postcode, the type of conversion, what the room is for, the type of house, how you would like us to contact you, and anything you write in the message box. If you email or call us, we receive what you send or tell us.
Our web server records technical information such as IP addresses in its logs for security, and the form uses your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions. We do not use it to identify you.
Why we use it, and the lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quote. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep records of the work we quote for and carry out, and to protect the form from abuse. These are our legitimate interests.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.
Who receives it
Your enquiry is sent to us by email through our email provider, and recorded in the enquiry system our website team uses to make sure no enquiry is missed. The website is run on a hosting provider's servers. These providers act on our instructions. We share your details with no one else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to work, we delete your details within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep the records we need for as long as the law and our obligations under the contract require.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it, and in some cases ask for it in a portable form. Write to us at the email address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
